Waltz of the Iris

The song this piece represents might be my personal favorite of my flower waltzes.  Honestly, I feel that it captures the shapes, colors and general aesthetic irises both physically and spiritually.  I originally composed the track about 6 years ago, but I've gained a lot of skill since then and wanted to bring it up to date in terms of quality.  I added in the harp intro that I used for the iris art slideshow 5 years ago in order to lengthen the piece.  The actual waltz bit starts after about a minute.  It's very short- yet, other than adding in the intro, I couldn't change it without ruining it, in my mind.  I'm very happy with the harp and oboe in particular for this piece.  ^_^

It's almost more for a "spiritual" dance than a physical one.  I wanted to take the listeners waltzing with me in the gardens of my mind.  In there, we all sway like irises in the wind.  The dance is smooth, watery and reflective, set on an ephemeral bed of reeds.  Hopefully, the art also reflects some of the same feelings.
